08/08/2026..VINTON, LA. – Delta Downs hosted nine qualifying trials for this year’s $561,054 Louisiana Quarter Horse Association Futurity (RG1) on Saturday night. The fastest qualifying came out of the eighth race as Ruse Ranch LLC’s Man for Cos won his 350-yard trial in a time of 17.460 under jockey Jorge Javier Garcia. The time equaled a speed index of 101 while running over a fast racetrack.

– THE $561,054 FINAL WILL TAKE PLACE ON SATURDAY, AUGUST 29 –

The win by Man for Cos, who is trained by Jose A. Garcia, was the fourth of his six-race career. He earned $7,200 for the effort, which raised his bankroll to $91,230. He now has the chance to earn a paycheck of $252,474 if he can win the Sale Futurity final on Saturday, August 29.

Bred in Louisiana by his owner, Man for Cos is a 2-year-old sorrel gelding by Kj Mucho Macho Man, out of the Tee Cos mare Just for Cos.
